The Ulster fullback was in clear agony before being stretchered off following a very unfortunate incident in which his planted leg was hit by a Lions player swinging out of a tackle on one of Addison’s Ulster team-mates. Louis Lynagh, whose father Michael captained the Wallabies, has been named in England’s extended 45-player squad for a brief training camp to be held next week. The 20-year-old outside back, who was born in Italy but grew up in England, plays for Harlequins in the English premiership. Michael Lynagh is regarded as one of the greats of Australian rugby. He played 72 Tests during his decorated international career, which was highlighted by winning the 1991 Rugby World Cup. Michael Lynagh was also a member of the Wallabies squads that completed the Grand Slam in 1984 and won the 1986 Bledisloe Cup series in New Zealand. Louis Lynagh is eligible to play Test rugby for England, Australia and Italy. While his selection does not guarantee he will represent England at the Test level in the future, it does show he is in the sights of its Australia-born coach Eddie Jones.
