The National Rugby League and the Albanese Government are collaborating to create the new Rugby League Pacific Championships . Men’s and women’s teams from Australia, the Cook Islands, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, and Tonga will compete in the inaugural Pacific Championships. The southern hemisphere countries participated in the first-ever Pacific Championships, which were held in Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea between October and November. Junior Springboks to face All Blacks in U20 Rugby Championship

The Junior Springboks will kick off the U20 Rugby Championship against All Blacks on Thursday, 2 May at 9am (South Africa time).  The U20 Rugby will see the up-and-coming stars of Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa do battle in a first of its kind between the four southern hemisphere nations. Sanzaar confirmed on Wednesday when it revealed the draw for the new competition that the Junior Springboks will play an exciting match against New Zealand on Thursday, May 2 at the Sunshine Coast Stadium to launch the inaugural Rugby Championship (TRC) Under-20 competition.
