The 2023 Rugby Oceania Sevens Championship for the first time at Ballymore Stadium, Brisbane. Oceania 7s broadcast live this weekend coverage starts at 3pm on Friday. With their sights firmly focused on Olympic qualification, 18 of the 25 teams that have traveled to Brisbane for the Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship 2023 have done so. A total of 66 matches (35 men’s and 31 women’s).

By doing this, they will guarantee that Oceania will have the largest contingent at an Olympic sevens competition the following year. The men and women of Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji—the reigning gold medallists in the men’s division—have already guaranteed their spots in the competition in France.

In Men’s Pool B, American Samoa, Cook Islands, Solomon Islands, and Samoa will compete against Samoa and Tuvalu. The nation that wins Men’s Pool C will face the team that tops the standings at the conclusion of the pool round.

Digicel Samoa today announced its position as the home of the Oceania Rugby Sevens tournament on Digicel TV and DTV App.

The international sevens season kicks off with the Oceania event in Brisbane, Australia which also serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The three-day tournament starting on 10 November will be live on Digicel TV and DTV App featuring 25 teams, 15 men’s and 10 women’s teams from 14 countries in the region.

The action Rugby Oceania Sevens kicks off at 12.00 p.m AEST local time on day 1 on Friday, November 10, when Samoa take on Nauru in the women’s competition. Oceania Rugby confirms today that the 2023 Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship will be held at Ballymore Stadium in Brisbane, Australia on 10 – 12 November.
