Rugby England Premier 15s: Saracens Women 7 – 57 Exeter Chiefs Women

Premier 15s

Rugby England Premier 15s Exeter Chiefs Women’s successful home record came to an end against Saracens this afternoon, as the visitors scored nine tries to secure a comprehensive Allianz PWR victory.

The Chiefs are still in the semi-final play-offs, with one more game to prepare for the season’s climax and regroup to address all of the areas where they came up short today.

Following a stop-start victory against Sale the previous weekend, Sarries jumped out of the blocks, with Ella Wyrwas feeding Sydney Gregson off the base of the maul for the center to power over under the posts.

Sarries continued to pin Exeter back, with Zoe Harrison kicking beautifully to the corners.

It was only a matter of time until Sarries scored again, with the pack going to work at the maul, before Donna Rose discovered an opening and muscled her way over for the second try of the day.

To add insult to injury, Chiefs were pushed off their own scrum in the final minute. When the penalty was kicked to touch, the lineout and drive saw Bryony Field over for Saracens ninth try.
