The Queensland Reds will take on Wales in Brisbane after pulling off a stunning upset and persuading the visitors to add a match to their schedule On July 19.

Following Wales’ two Test matches against the Wallabies in Sydney and Melbourne on July 6 and 13, and before the Wallabies play Georgia in Sydney on July 20, is the Friday night match at Suncorp Stadium.

The Reds’ encounter with a significant visiting country will mark their first meeting in twenty years, having last faced Scotland 41–5 at Ballymore in 2004.

Following a coup to persuade the famed rugby nation to make an additional tour stop in Brisbane, Wales will take on the Queensland Reds in July.

A Friday night match at Suncorp Stadium on July 19 has been added to the schedule for 2024.

The Welsh Rugby Union and the Queensland Rugby Union synchronized their negotiating vision, with the vital backing of Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and the Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA).

With the women’s Wallaroos against New Zealand’s Black Ferns at Ballymore on Sunday, July 14, State of Origin 3 on Wednesday night (July 17), and Reds vs Wales on Friday, the match will set up an exciting sporting week in Brisbane.
