Julián Montoya signs a long term contract with Pau that begins in 2025

After the season, Julián Montoya will leave the Leicester Tigers. The captain of Argentina chose to join Pau despite receiving several offers. He consented to a three-year deal to join Pau. Montoya received a two-year offer from Bordeaux.

Ignacio Calles presently resides in Pau. In the Rugby Championship of 2024, he teamed up with Montoya. The most successful English side, both historically and currently, is the Leicester Tigers. In 2023, Montoya was named Leicester’s captain.

He has participated in three Rugby World Cups during his test career, and he is on course to win a fourth. He has triumphed over every Tier 1 foe. With his 100 caps, Montoya has faced nineteen nations: England, Wales, Italy, Georgia, Tonga, Namibia, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, USA, Romania, and Samoa. For Argentina’s 2022 test match in Madrid against Spain, he was given a break.
